Who May
Join?
Any
Mother, Step Mother (since the child was of the
age of thirteen), Foster Mother, Adopted Mother or
Grandmother to a member currently serving in the military
armed forces or has been honorably discharged from the
Armed Forces of the United States.
Services included are the United States Army, Navy,
Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard,
Reserve Units, and the Merchant Marines.
Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan,
non-sectarian and non-discriminatory organization that
welcomes all family and friends of military loved ones.
Who Can Display Service Star Flags?
Family members of military loved ones who are serving
their country may fly and display Service Flags.
Displaying a flag that is handmade is also acceptable.
You may contact any Chapter President for more
information or simply print off a service flag from our
website.
How
Much Does It Cost To
Join?
The cost of membership is $20.00 per year. The pin is
optional and costs $10.00. Dad’s pins and Associate's
pins are also available for $10.00.
Can A Relative
Join?
Yes, they may join as an Associate Member. This
would include everyone such as aunts, uncles,
siblings, cousins, grandfathers, friends, and dads.
How
Often Are The Meetings?
Each chapter organizes their own meeting schedule. N

Are
The Meetings Casual?
Yes, dress is casual. We would like our members to
show their solidarity by wearing a lanyard, provided when
you become a member; however, it is not required. We do
encourage everyone participating in outside functions to
wear white shirts and blue slacks or a blue skirt.
This shows pride in being a member of our chapter and
most importantly, pride in their military loved one.
As
A Member, Do I Have To Volunteer For Service Projects?
You may come and attend our meetings for the fellowship
and support you gain from being with other military
mothers. While we encourage volunteerism, it is not a
requirement to join.

Don't Have A Child In The Military, But I Still Want To
Help. What Can I Do?
First, we want to thank you for your interest in helping
our military, you will find it extremely rewarding. We
will list various projects that you can do on your
own. Click on any of these pages to find out
more information about fund raising, current
projects, making a donation, and links. You are
welcome to become a part of anything that interests
you.
How
Can I Donate Money To Your Chapter?
Northern Kentucky Blue Star Mothers Chapter 5 is a
non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory and
non-profit (501[c]3) organization. Our mission is to
support fellow Blue Star members, their sons, daughters
and any other family members who are currently serving or
have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of
America. We achieve our mission by sharing educational
information, participating in various service related
activities, supporting veterans’ organization activities
and promoting causes beneficial to all military personnel
and their families.
A check can be made payable to N. Kentucky Blue Star
Mothers Chapter 5. We are a (501[c]3) which means that
any donations are tax deductible to you. We will gladly
send you a receipt for your tax keeping. If you are
